Dentistry

According to studies, 8 out of 10 dogs and 7 out of 10 cats show signs of dental disease by the age of 3 years old. Though periodontal disease may not seem like an urgent issue, it is extremely important that preventative oral care is started early on to keep your pet’s teeth and health in tip-top shape. If left untreated, periodontal disease can not only lead to a number of more serious health issues such as liver, kidney, and heart disease but also cause your pet a great deal of discomfort and pain. We are proud to offer both anesthetic and non-anesthetic dental cleanings at our hospital.

Anesthetic Dental Cleanings

● If you see that your pet is developing yellow or brown plaque on the teeth, red and inflamed gums, bleeding, reluctance to eat, or bad breath, your pet may need a deep dental cleaning.

  • Offered daily

  • Pre-dental exam required for all new pets

Non-Anesthetic Dental Cleanings

● For younger pets without signs of extensive periodontal disease who would like a more thorough maintenance cleaning without the risk of anesthesia, the non-anesthetic dental cleaning is the perfect option. Please keep in mind that the non-anesthetic dental cleaning may not be a suitable course of treatment for hyperactive animals or pets with extensive dental disease.

  • Every fourth Thursday of the month (may be subject to change)

  • Pre-dental exam not required for pets under 7
